HB 2474 increases the value of municipal real property that can be sold without a special election.
Currently, ARS §9-403 states that a city or town shall not sell real property of the municipality that exceeds a specific value a special election. This was raised from twenty-five thousand dollars to one hundred thousand dollars approximately thirty years ago. The sale may proceed at a public auction if a majority of the ballots cast are in favor of selling the property.
