HB 2473 allows municipal councils and county boards of supervisors to provide severance pay.

 

History

Currently, ARS §9-237 requires each municipality to have a clerk, marshal and engineer.  In addition, municipal councils may appoint and remove other officers and agents.

 

Provisions

·                      Allows municipal councils and county boards of supervisors to provide severance pay for municipal officers and county appointed officers by ordinance or by contract with an individual officer.
