The proposed strike-everything amendment to HB 2473 allows municipal councils to provide severance pay.

History

Currently, ARS §9-237 requires each municipality to have a clerk, marshal and engineer. In addition, municipal councils may appoint and remove other officers and agents.

Provisions

· Allows municipal councils to provide severance pay for municipal officers by ordinance or by contract with an individual officer.

The strike-everything amendment to HB 2473 was adopted with no other changes.
