Bill Abstract for HB 2623 (marriage and parenting skills; curriculum) Introduced by: Anderson, Cooley

HB 2623 establishes an interim committee to study the feasibility of implementing a statewide responsible marriage and parenting skills curriculum for high school seniors. The bill requires the committee to submit a written report with recommendations to the Governor, Speaker of the House, President of the Senate, the chairman of the Senate Family Services Committee and the chairman of the House Human Services Committee by November 15, 1999.

HB 2623 passed the Human Services Committee unamended.

HB 2623 was amended in the Committee of the Whole as follows:

Includes one member from the House of Representatives appointed by the Minority Leader and one member from the Senate appointed by the Minority Leader as members of the interim committee.
