Abstract for HB 2242

(developmental disabilities; oversight committee; duties)

Introduced by: Pickens

HB 2242 allows the Joint Legislative Developmental Disabilities Oversight Committee to determine the number of developmentally disabled in need of services who do not meet current state eligibility criteria to receive them. In addition, the bill permits the Committee to review these criteria and identify necessary changes so that those who need developmentally disabled services can meet eligibility criteria.

HB 2242 was amended in the Human Services Committee as follows:

Extends the delayed effective date of the Joint Legislative Developmental Disabilities Oversight Committee to January 30, 2003.

HB 2242 passed the Committee of the Whole unamended.
