AN ACT
AMENDING SECTION 38-232, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES; RELATING TO OATH OF OFFICE FOR PUBLIC OFFICERS.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 38-232, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

38-232 . Time of oath

When a different time is not prescribed, the oath of office shall be taken, subscribed and filed within ten days after the officer has notice of his appointment, or AS FOLLOWS:

1. IF APPOINTED, AT LEAST ONE DAY BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF THE TERM OF OFFICE.

2. If elected, at any time after receiving his THE OFFICER'S certificate of election, and at least one day before commencement of the term of office.
